My solution when i paint minis: If it looks bad, you'r too close. Put it back on the table.

Theres a solution. Throw away your cheap shitty brushes, instead buy one good quality sable brush that comes to a sharp point. Doesnt have to be a small size brush, as long as it has a sharp point. Then buy some soap for brushes and clean it every once in a while. Should last a long time.

Pro-tip, paint the eyes before finishing the helmet. (not really pro but spent years painting these). Same as if you're doing black borders around nails, do it before doing the nails.

Use shades or inks. Just touch the center of the helmet eye and it fills the entire recess without spilling over. Quick/easy
